Mike Tyson Fight Worn Gloves and Hand Wraps from the Tony Tubbs Bout

Mike Tyson Fight Worn Gloves and Hand Wraps from the Tony Tubbs Bout

On March 21, 1988 at the Tokyo Dome in Tokyo, Japan World Heavyweight Champion Mike Tyson defended his titles against challenger Tony Tubbs. Tyson made short work of Tubbs stopping him in the second round. Offered here are the actual fight worn gloves and hand wraps used by Mike Tyson in this fight. The gloves are red leather made by Everlast with the original tape over the manufacturer's tag at the wrist. The commission stamps are evident inside the gloves as well as the inspector's markings. Only part of the laces remain. The hand wraps are present for both gloves. LOA from Mike Tyson's assistant manger Steve Lott.
