Miller Huggins Signed Check

Miller Huggins Signed Check

A monumental signed check, as it contains three signatures. Signed on the front by Jacob Ruppert, the man responsible for hiring Miller Huggins and Ed Barrow, two moves which made the Yankees franchise into a powerhouse. Countersigned on the front by Ed Barrow (no breaks in signature, ever so slightly faded). The clincher is the signature on the back of the check in bold purple fountain pen, that of Miller Huggins. Huggins is solely responsible for turning the Yanks into the all time greats they are remembered as. A beautiful signature, perfect except for two interruptions due to the bank stamp. Check is creased twice, o/w EX-MT. Made out for $2,269.81 and dated April 30, 1924.
