Mountain Memorabilia Collection

An amazing collection of Mountain memorabilia, once belonging to bassist and recording engineer Felix Pappalardi, and representing a veritable archive of items relating to this famous and influential band Here’s Pappalardi’s own collection of 45 rpm records, dating from the 1970’s. Many with outstanding graphics, including: The Vagrants (represented by 3 records), Leslie West (7 records), Mountain (49), including multiple varieties of the smash hit “Mississippi Queen”, and additional overseas recordings, mostly Japanese (19). Also included are West, Bruce & Laing (7 records) and Creation (5 records), as well as a few spare sleeves. Approximately 450 original color photos and snapshots, which range in size from 2” x 2” to 8” x 10”, and include numerous candid shots that chronicle both private life and concert tours. A number are dated, with at least two signed by Leslie West or Corky Laing. Eighteen color slides and more than 30 black and white photos are also included, sized from 5” x 7” to 8” x 10”, including some promo shots of the band, with one signed by Laing. A gallery of framed items include: a Leslie West Guitar magazine cover shot, signed by West; a pair of 5” x 7” color photos of West and Laing, signed by each; an 8” x 10” black & white promo shot, signed by West and Laing; an 8” x 10” color photo, signed by West; a tour Program, England 1971; Disc magazine front page, May 1971; collection of 10 different Leslie West guitar picks; “Mississippi Queen” sheet music, signed by West. Posters and programs include: a Mountain poster, signed by West and Laing; concert programs, 1969-1972, Fillmore East (4), Rainbow Theatre, London (1), Capital Theatre (1); 1973 Japanese Tour program, 14 1/2” X 10”, in English and Japanese (2 copies); “Nantucket Sleighride” and “Mountain Live” programs, Japanese tour (the latter signed by West); Creation with Felix Pappalardi Japanese tour program. Sheet Music and Songbooks include: “Nantucket Sleighride Songbook”, (2 copies); “Mississippi Queen” sheet music, (2 copies); songbooks with sheet music, lyrics and many black & white shots, (3 different); Creation songbook, in English and Japanese; “Live at the Fillmore: Songs-Posters-Artists Seen & Heard at Fillmore East and Fillmore West”, pb, 9” x 12”, 128 pp. (2 copies, one with some soiling and torn back cover). Miscellaneous items include a group of VIP and backstage passes (7); a 4” pin-back button, “Vagrants Fan” with picture of the band; a 1967 studio letter concerning the recording of “Strange Brew” by Cream; a Mountain Rolling Papers package; a stage setup diagram; a hardcover book relating to Nantucket history; copies of BillBoard (3-14-70) and Cash Box (8-15-70) magazines, with articles on Mountain; 1973 Japanese Tour tickets (3), and handbills (2). Letters of Authenticity are included.
