Muhammad Ali Jock Strap from Ali vs. Norton III
On September 28, 1976 at Yankee Stadium in New York Muhammad Ali defended his world heavyweight title against old nemesis Ken Norton. Ali won a close 15 round decision in defenses of his crown in what would be the last fight at the old Yankee Stadium. Offered here is an athletic supporter which was used by Muhammad Ali as he trained for this event. This supporter is black and yellow leather and has a manufacturer's label from Everlast. The supporter has been signed and inscribed by Ali trainer Angelo Dundee, "Norton-Ali Cup" To My Buddy Mort-None Comes Finer Angelo Dundee Sept 28/76." The supporter shows significant use, but is perfectly intact. LOA from sports writer and boxing analyst Mort Sharnik who was given this by Angelo Dundee.
