Muhammad Ali Pacer Bell (Used in Training for Berbick Fight)

Muhammad Ali Pacer Bell (Used in Training for Berbick Fight)

On December 11,1981, Muhammad Ali fought Trevor Berbick in a heavyweight bout. Berbick would win with a less-than-dramatic, 10-round decision. This was Ali's last fight and the poor showing was brutal to watch as it ended the career of "The Greatest". Offered here is the original pacer bell used by Muhammad Ali in training for the fight. From the collection of Ali's long time assistant trainer Wali Muhammad, the pacer bell is used to time sparring and bag workouts during training. It has the name of Muhammad Ali on it with the Muslim symbol. Shows minor wear with no chipping. Mounted on wood, it comes with original wiring and measures 10" x 14.". Comes with LOAs from the daughter of Wali Muhammad and Craig Hamilton.
