Muhammad Ali Training Gloves (Bugner II & Berbick)
This lot is comprised of two training gloves used by Muhammad Ali from the collection of his long time assistant trainer Wali Muhammad. The first is a right hand, red leather glove made by Cleto Reyes Seyer and was used in training by Ali for his second fight with Joe Bugner in Malaysia in 1975. The second is a left hand, red leather glove made by Cleto Reyes used in training by Ali for his final professional career fight against Trevor Berbick in 1981. The Berbick glove still has the original laces, the Bugner does not. Both gloves show considerable wear, but remain perfectly intact and are labeled inside in the hand of Wali Muhammad. 10 ounce gloves.
