Five Ali signed checks by the wife of this heavyweight champion, Belinda T. Ali. Range in amounts from $55.83 to $740.64. All from banks in southern New Jersey or Philadelphia. Four checks exhibit some paper loss, and one check has a tear. The other two checks display minor stains. Muhammad Ali was still making big money in the 1970s and then on October 2, 1980 he would pull in his biggest boxing payday in his next to last fight, his battle against Larry Holmes, when the great Ali fought for 8 million dollars.
