This lot contains a handwritten letter signed by the great General Napoleon. Circa 1814 based on information that came with it, this letter was likely written right after Napoleon had abdicated the throne following his failure in Russia. Paris had been captured on March 30, 1814, and Napoleon's humiliating abdication occurred on April 6, 1814. This one-page letter contains 10 lines handwritten in French, with military content mentioning artillery, as well as Napoleon's signature. Measuring 7 x 9". It is in excellent condition.
