National Baseball Hall Of Fame Limited Edition 1/50 Sterling Silver Baseball

Presented is a beautiful, limited edition sterling silver baseball (number 1 of 50) and its accompanying wooden stand, that celebrates the 1990 induction of Joe Morgan and Jim Palmer to the Hall of Fame. Included with the sterling silver baseball is a Hall of Fame Letter of Authenticity. This LOA reads, "Certificate of Authenticity/In commemoration of the nineteen hundred and ninety Inductees to the National baseball Hall of Fame, the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum validates the limited issue of fifty sterling silver baseballs. This document certifies: Joseph V. Cusenza is the recipient of sterling silver baseball number one of the limited issue of fifty balls on this the seventeenth day of April, nineteen hundred and ninety. Edward W. Stack as a signature/president of the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum/Cooperstown, New York. The base of the item measures 3.625x3.625". This base measures approx. 4" in height. The top of the base measures approx. 2.25x2.25". A 1.5x2" plaque on the base reads, "Hall of Fame/Joe Morgan/Jim Palmer/August 5, 1990/ Induction." The realistically sized sterling silver baseball has the Hall of Fame logo, with "Hall of Fame" imprinted on it. This baseball weighs 16.6 ounces. Imprinted on the baseball is "1-50", showing that the baseball was Number 1 out of 50. Joe Morgan was a second baseman with Houston, Cincinnati, San Francisco, Philadelphia, and Oakland. He was a 2-time MVP, a 2-time World Series Champion, a 10-time Gold Glove winner, a 10-time All-Star, and he had 268 home runs and 689 stolen bases. Jim Palmer pitched in 19 Major League seasons, all with the Baltimore Orioles. He was a 3-time Cy Young Award winner, a 3-time World Series Champion, an 8-time All-Star, a 4-time Gold Glove winner, a 3-time AL wins leader, a 2-time AL ERA leader, and also threw a no-hitter on August 13, 1969. The baseball and stand come with a Hall of Fame case which measures 7.5x11.5x5.5". The case does show some wear with a few small nicks and scratches from use. The limited-edition sterling silver baseball and its accompanying separate stand are in excellent condition, and together, as one impressive item, it honors two Hall of Famers and makes a rare and valued collectible.
