National League Golden Jubilee Presentation Baseball and Box
Here we have a vintage Official National League 50th Anniversary Golden Jubilee baseball and display box. Presented to those who attended the league's 50th anniversary celebration on February 2, 1926 at the Hotel Astor in New York, this Spalding baseball is adorned with eight sepia-toned portraits of past National League presidents, including their dates of tenure. The ball shows toning and one portrait (Pulliam) has a small chip but otherwise is in excellent condition. The 8"x4" presentation box is a dark golden color with "Golden Jubilee National League Feb. 2, 1926" stamped in black on top. The inside is a blue velvet lined holder. The box is in VG/EX condition. The other blank baseball that this set originally came with is missing.
