Nellie Fox's Wife's Beautiful Scrapbook

Nellie Fox's Wife's Beautiful Scrapbook

Hall of Famer Nellie Fox, known as "Mighty Mite," was a twelve-time American League All-Star as a second baseman. Forty years after the infamous Black Sox, Fox led the "Go-Go White Sox" into the 1959 World Series against the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Sox lost the World Series, but Fox was named the American League MVP. The album, kept by Nellie's wife, covers 1948 when Fox played in the minors for the Nebraska Athletics, a farm team of the Philadelphia Athletics. Album (11.5x15") contains 22 pages: 8x10 photos (4), 3.5x3.5" photos of players (18), and assorted newspaper articles and family photos, including some small wedding pictures. Great photos in very good condition.
