New York Mets Team Signed Bats Including 1986 (6)
Mets fans and collectors will cherish this assemblage of signed bats, each a professional game-model with 40+ signatures. Included in the lot is a dark-toned Doc Gooden Louisville Slugger model from the heralded 1986 team that won a club-record 108 games before capturing the World Series. There are team personnel and even broadcasters such as Tim McCarver included. There are also bats from 1987 (Rawlings Ron Darling), 1985 (Louisville Slugger), 1984 (Louisvillle Slugger Tom Seaver), 1978 (Adirondack Ed Kranepool) and 1979 (Adirondack John Stearns). All signatures were obtained in person inside the Mets clubhouse. The 1986 bat is the only one that shows any use. The greats and fan favorites are here including the recently deceased Gary Carter, George Foster, Joe Torre, Rusty Staub, Jerry Koosman, Keith Hernandez, Darryl Strawberry, Dwight Gooden, Jesse Orosco, Lenny Dykstra, Lee Mazzilli, Bobby Valentine, Mookie Wilson, Larry Bowa, David Cone, Gregg Jefferies, and countless others.
