NEWLY DISCOVERED Foreign Horrors of War Cards with Two "Hitlers" & More (55)
1938 Horrors of War cards are a different size than the American versions of this coveted card set that was recently discovered in Europe. These 38 cards are 1/4" and smaller in size than the typical American versions, but the same stock. They measure 2" x 3 1/8" yet are NOT trimmed and the graphic images of the 1937 Sino-Japanese War are smaller rather than just the white borders. The 38 cards are from all the different series so they likely made a complete set (where are the others?). There are even two "Hitler" cards, #277 and #283, both G-VG. The balance of the cards averages VG. There are other more pedestrian cards in the collection (U.S. issues) including 10 Goudey Indians (FR), 3 U.S. Horrors of War (G-VG) and 2 Thriller Chewing Gum (GD). These came in at a late date before we could research them further or slab them. They are guaranteed to be 100% authentic and vintage.
