Nolan Ryan 5th Game Used No-Hitter Baseball
On September 26, 1981, a half decade after his fourth no-hitter, Ryan shut down the Dodgers 5-0 to become the only ML pitcher to toss five career no-hitters surpassing the record once held by Dodger great Sandy Koufax. The 34-year-old Ryan would strike out 11 that night and retire the last 19 batters in a row while lowering his league-leading ERA to 1.74. From that historic evening we offer this actual game used Rawlings ONL (Feeney) baseball. Signed by Nolan in black felt tip pen that grades a “9” out of possible “10” on the sweet spot and further inscribed in the same ink, “This Ball Was Used In 5th No Hit Game”. The ball itself shows expected use with scuffs and toning from game use. A magnificent piece of memorabilia from the game’s most feared flame-thrower. From the Charlie Sheen Collection.
