Norman Rockwell pictures are recognized by almost everybody in America. The cover of The Saturday Evening Post was his showcase for over forty years, giving him the largest audience in history. He is an entire genre unto himself. This is the artist proof for a limited edition of 235 prints of Shuffleton's Barber Shop from 1971. It originally appeared on the cover of The Saturday Evening Post on April 29, 1950. Print is 28 x 29-1/2". It is matted and in a very handsome frame (37-1/2 x 39-1/2"). In NRMT condition. One of the finer Rockwell prints we have seen in terms of quality of the edition, size, rarity and attractiveness. Rockwell's bold pencil signature rates a 10 in the lower right corner.
