Notre Dame "Rudy" Movie Prop, Original Program & Ticket Collection with Autographs (4)
Rudy Ruettiger is an iconic figure in Notre Dame and college football history. "Rudy" was portrayed by Sean Austin in the "Rudy" film and his larger than life story and persona was cemented in public knowledge. This lot includes a November 8, 1975, original game program and unused ticket. The lot also features an original copy of the screenplay autographed by Rudy, Angelo Pizzo (author) and Dan Devine. This offering is rounded out by a full sized movie prop helmet signed, "To Bobby Rudy Ruettiger Follow Your Dreams." The interior of the helmet says "Rudy Austin Beatty reject." The reject is written in black Sharpie and the names are printed on a plastic tag. The program, screenplay and ticket are in EX-MT condition and the helmet is in VG condition with evident use, showing wear from the film.The following items are from a private collection of a long-time Notre Dame football fanatic. The quality of this collection is the finest that we have seen.It has taken a half century to procure these items and now is the first time that some of them have seen the light of day.
