Few names are as synonymous with the card collecting hobby as Beckett, whose price guides are the first stop for many on the road to evaluating their precious mementos. Dated November 1984, this is where it all started, as this 8.5x11" publication is marked as Issue #1, and is signed by no less than Dr. James Beckett himself on the cover in 9/10 blue marker. The powder blue cover might be modest by today's standards but the contents within are instantly recognizable to long-time readers, featuring year, card numbers, and estimated values of key cards within each series.
