Official Lineup Cards From The Last Game at Crosley Field and First Game at Riverfront Stadium
A tale of two ballparks. As the summer of 1970 was dawning in Cincinnati, old Crosley Field was on its last legs, while newly-constructed Riverfront Stadium across town was primed to open its doors for the first time. Here are the historically important original lineup cards that were held by Reds manager Sparky Anderson during the last game at Crosley and the first at Riverfront. Sparky gave them to his star player, Pete Rose, and also had a relative create color drawings of both ballparks, which appear on top of the cards. The San Francisco and Cincinnati lineup cards from the final game at Crosley on June 24 were signed by the respective managers, Charlie Fox and Anderson, while the Atlanta and Cincinnati lineups from the first game at Riverfront on June 30 are signed by skippers Lum Harris and Anderson. The cards are VG and have been all framed together with the drawings. Comes with an LOA from Pete Rose's ex-wife, Karolyn.
