Old Yankee Stadium Bullpen Bench
Talk about a benchmark! From nearly a century ago comes this glorious archive from the world's most famous sports venue. Dating potentially as far back as the building's opening in 1923, this rustic bullpen bench measures 72" x 29.5" and is very weathered and fragile. One can imagine just how many big games it had witnessed over the years. It was removed by Yankees pitcher Lindy McDaniel in 1974 when renovations began on the building, which would reopen for the 1976 season. The paint is well-worn and chipped, plus there is some rot to the wood. That being said, you'd have to go a long way to find a piece with more character than this baby.
