One Dozen Official American League (Budig) Baseballs in Original Box
Presented is a dozen Official American League Baseballs (Budig), each unused and unopened in original, sealed individual boxes. Each separate box measures approx. 2.9x2.9x2.9". The sealed boxes read, in part, "Rawlings Baseball/ Official Baseball of the American league." Each box also has the MLB logo and reads, "Rawlings/Exclusive Supplier Of Baseballs To The Major Leagues." The individual boxes come in the bottom part of a larger original Rawlings box contains the dozen baseballs and measures approx. 8.75x11.75". The twelve individual boxes are in excellent condition. The larger Rawlings box, used to hold the dozen smaller boxes, shows some fraying at the corners and edges. On the side of the larger box is printed "hUA[?- some of the printing may be missing] - COM - 1 DZ/Costa Rica". The baseballs make interesting mementos because Gene Budig, the American League president at the time, and whose facsimile signature is on each baseball, was the last American League President, serving from June 8, 1994, until the position was eliminated in 1999.
