Original 1938 "Assassin of Youth" Matchbook Cover
Beautifully "fire" colored matchbook cover for the film was given out as a promotion to the "4 Day Only" viewing at the State Theatre of Reading, PA. in 1938. Everything on the cover aligns with the anti-drug/marijuana theme of the movie with taglines such as "A Puff... A Party... A Tragedy" and "Marihuana deals wild, mad thrills at a price". The film is often said to be a less popular "copy" of the 1936 movie "Reefer Madness".
