Original 1970s "Joe" Glove Chair
All you need is glove. This original Italian leather chair was especially designed for Hall of Fame pitcher Gaylord Perry and was a personal favorite of his. Measuring approximately 70" wide x 45" deep x 30" tall, the luxurious seat literally fits like a glove around bodies of all sizes and resided in his Perry's home from the 1970s until just recently. Designed by Depaz, D. Urbino & Lomazzi in 1970, it is completely original and not to be confused with reproductions made in the 2000s. There is a "Joe Made in Italy" stamping and it is signed on the backside by Perry. One caster is missing from the bottom, there are some small tears and staining and the metal grommets show rust, but on appearance, this is an exceptional original - and oh, so comfortable!
