The best Fleischer Studios draw-ing we have ever seen! Signed and dated 1935 Betty Boop Studios by Pauline Comanor, one of the lead artists at Fleischer Studios at the height of their fame and creativity. Comes from the liquidation of her estate auctioned early this year. What is amazing about this drawing is that it incorporates other characters of the period including Popeye and most notably Mickey Mouse. You would NEVER see a crossover like this, as Disney & Fleischer were bitter rivals. Inscription, "To Freddy & Sam Norman to Swell Fellows - The Best of Everything! Cordially..." Betty offers the two a big kiss, speaking to a jealous Koko the Clown, then a typical "Boop - Boop - A - Doop." EX.
