Original Hall of Fame Brick Presented to Gaylord Perry
Talk about laying a foundation of greatness. Each living Hall of Famer was presented with one of these bricks from the original structure of the Baseball Hall of Fame as it was constructed for the 1939 Grand Opening. This one is housed in a wooden display case shaped like home plate, complete with an engraved plaque inside that reads: "THE NATIONAL BASEBALL HALL OF FAME AMD MUSEUM DEDICATED JUNE 12, 1939 COOPERSTOWN, NEW YORK PRESENTED TO GAYLORD PERRY WHOSE HALL OF FAME PLAQUE SYMBOLIZING HIS GREATNESS AS A PLAYER, WAS DEDICATED IN 1991 THIS BRICK IS FROM THE ORIGINAL BUILDING AND WAS PRESERVED DURING THE HALL OF FAME'S 2002-2005 RENOVATION." It is in EX-MT condition.
