Original Painting by Curt Flood
Speedy outfielder Curt Flood shared a Cardinals locker room with Red Schoendienst as a teammate, then played for him when Red became the manager. As is evident here, Curt's talents were hardly limited to bats, balls and gloves. He was pretty handy with the paintbrush and palette as well, creating this original oil-on-canvas painting of Red with fellow Redbirds great Stan Musial. Flood presented Red with this painting and it was prominently displayed in the Hall of Famer's home ever since. Measuring 25" x 21" in its frame, the artwork is in EX-MT condition and signed by Curt Flood.
