Original Yak Hair Rug from the 49 Million Dollar Penthouse Magazine Mansion (photo evidence)
After the death of famed Penthouse Magazine founder and editor Bob Guccione in 2010, Josh Evans of Leland's obtained this original yak hair rug directly from the mogul's estate. The centerpiece of the main room in Guccione's 49 million dollar mansion, it is shown in many photos of the time, including the one shown here. Lot comes with LOA from Joshua Leland Evans. Emblematic of the height of 1970s kitsch (and decadence), the rug has been recently cleaned (now with no sign of "DNA").
