Outcault's Buster Brown Up to Date

Outcault's Buster Brown Up to Date

This beautifully-illustrated, extremely rare pre-comic book is comprised of reprints from Richard F. Outcault's daily strips. It is 62 pages and features 31 full-color strips. The book, which was copyrighted in 1910, measures a stately 10x16" and is flanked by cardboard covers. The book is in fine condition overall except the back cover has a vertical crease and the front binding shows some fraying in the top left corner. This is the finest we've seen, especially considering its condition. Outcault is considered the father of the modern-day comic strip and was approximately 46 years old when he penned the strips in this book.
