Oversized Photo of General MacArthur Signing the Japanese Surrender

Oversized Photo of General MacArthur Signing the Japanese Surrender

World War II came to a close on September 2, 1945, and General Douglas MacArthur signed off on Japan's surrender, as pictured here in this large-format photo that measures roughly 25.5" x 22". The unusually large size has a few light creases but looks very impressive overall, rating VG. By the end of July 1945, the Imperial Japanese Navy was incapable of conducting operations and an Allied invasion of Japan was imminent, prompting their surrender and an end to the hostilities.
