Oversized Photos Taken at the Ali vs Frazier Fight by Frank Sinatra (2)
"The Fight of the Century" took place March 8, 1971, at a sold out Madison Square Garden. It pitted two undefeated fighters against each other: champion Joe Frazier and challenger Muhammad Ali. Ali had been stripped of his title a few years earlier for his refusal to sign up for the draft. The bout lived up to its billing as Ali lost to Frazier in 15 rounds. The action was captured by Frank Sinatra who was snapping photos for Life Magazine. This 18 x 21 1/2" framed photo #28 of Ali fighting Frazier was taken by Sinatra. It comes with another 21 x 26" framed photo of Sinatra as he was taking photos at the fight. Includes an LOA from the lawyer who assumed ownership of the photos.
