"The Catch" is supposedly Willie Mays' finest moment in the 1954 World Series. But between true Mays fans, that moment actually occurred on August 15, 1951. This illustration art painting in resonant deep colors is a tribute to that moment in baseball history. Beautifully executed, conveying movement which is very difficult and rarely achieved, large in a vintage frame, this painting on board measures 24x30". Great imagery from an unknown but talented artist. Signed J. Hudson S. Armstrong and dated July 22, 1990.
