Pair Of 1902 James Jeffries v. Rob Fitzsimmons Boxing Tickets
A pair of tickets for the July 25, 1902, Heavyweight Championship rematch between Robert Fitzsimmons and Jim Jeffries at the San Francisco Athletic Club comprise this lot. Jeffries stopped Fitz in round 11 to win the title in their 1899 meeting, and absorbed a tremendous beating to prevail by knockout in the rematch. One is a full ticket for the main floor, with the torn stub reserved for "officials and contestants." Both have chips taken from the top left corner, and the back of each has glue and paper residue from a scrapbook, but these are the only ones from this fight that we've ever offered and both are very crisp and present beautifully.
