Pair of Large Mel Ott Signed Photos (2)

Pair of Large Mel Ott Signed Photos (2)

"Master Melvin" spent his entire career with the New York Giants from 1926 to 1947. Although Mel was only 5' 9", he was unusually slight of stature for a power hitter and was the first National League player to surpass 500 home runs. Both signed magazine photos are in excellent condition, they have very minimal folding lines from mailing, but this is to be expected from a piece this age. The signatures are both clear and written in blue ink. The first photo is of Mel congratulating his teammate as he crosses the plate. The second is just a photo of Mel, in his Giants jersey from the waist up. Two terrific images from the first 500-homerun hitter!
