Paul Bear Bryant Personal Owned and Worn Houndstooth Hat
A remarkable relic from arguable the greatest college football coach of all time! Paul William "Bear" Bryant racked up six national championships as head coach at the University of Alabama. The Hall of Famer was known as much for his fashion statement as his playbook, as evidenced by this beautiful houndstooth hat in red and white Crimson Tide Colors. A couple of decorative feathers adorn the left side and the interior is yellow paisley. The 7.375 sized hat was received as a gift during a recruiting trip for his son in 1980 and includes a notarized letter from the recipient describing in detail how he received the hat. Impeccable provenance.
