Paul Waner Game Worn Glove
How did they ever catch the ball with gloves like these? They must have all been outstanding fielders. Waner actually was but it's always been overshadowed by the great hitting of this Hall of Famer who still holds the MLB record for consecutive games with an extra base hit (14). This glove was obtained from friend and former teammate Heinie Meine and was handed down through the family. Some of the stitching on the thumb has come apart from its extended wear, but otherwise it's in as good as condition as could be expected. You can just tell this is a professional player's glove. Top quality all the way. Includes an LOA from his great nephew, as well as two small vintage photos, 3-3/4 x 4-3/4" and 3 x 5-1/8" of Waner with Meine on fishing trips. Glove is in EX condition with the original Reach tag on the wrist.
