Payne Stewart U.S. Open Used Glove

Payne Stewart U.S. Open Used Glove

Just a few short months after capturing his second U.S. Open in 1999 Payne, one of golf’s most recognizable personalities, lost his life in a mysterious plane crash while heading back to his home state of Texas. His white leather “Titleist 1” glove dating from the ’86 U.S. Open shows signs of extensive use picked up during that grueling Major. Signed in blue ink on the palm, “Payne Stewart, Go Mustangs” (8/10) it was originally given to an admiring fan and fellow SMU alumnus. LOA.
