Pee Wee Reese Photograph (PSA Type I)
Original Type I photograph capturing Pee Wee Reese at bat during a charity game, circa 1950s. A handwritten notation on the reverse reads "Pee Wee Reese in Polio Benefit Game." The name "R G Potter" is written in vintage black ink in the lower left corner. R. G. Potter was a Louisville, Kentucky, salesman who assembled a massive collection of photographs relating to his hometown. (The bulk of his collection resides in the University of Louisville Library Photographic Archives.) He was also an amateur photographer. The fact that this photo was either taken by him or once resided in his collection indicates that the game most likely took place in Louisville, which was also Reese's home town. The photo (10x8") displays a few light creases and is in Very Good to Excellent condition overall. Encapsulated as Type I Authentic by PSA.
