Pepper Martin Single Signed Baseball
Extremely rare single signature on the sweet spot of this "Ralph Kiner League" baseball is that of St. Louis Cardinals "Wild Horse of the Osage", Pepper Martin, who bellyflopped his way to 3 stolen base crowns and tore across the diamond to score more than 120 runs 3 times. Clearly, Pepper never mellowed. As a manager in the Florida International League in 1949, he choked an umpire, drawing a hundred-dollar fine and a 2-week suspension. This fabulous autograph is from that era of his career, dated "1954" in Martin's hand, and grades "8.5" out of a possible 10 with a slight blemish above the "M". Ball is Excellent with dark MacGregor stampings (grading "9") and an even tan tone. LOA.
