Pete Maravich Single Signed Basketball

Pete Maravich Single Signed Basketball

A rarity in the world of basketball collecting, this black sharpie signed basketball contains the signature of “Pistol” Pete Maravich. In large black sharpie, the autograph reads, “’Pistol Pete’”. Nothing short of a basketball legend, Maravich’s untimely death at age 40 leaves the hobby with extremely few authentic signatures. The worn ball with no label was signed by Pete Maravich during the late 1960’s to early 1970’s. It was miraculously found among the personal effects of a recently deceased collector, whose son has now offered it for public sale for the very first time. It shows wear and use with a slightly smoothed out surface. EX. The quality of the signature is just about as good as you can get on a ball of this type. Nice, dark and legible, but interrupted by the grains of the ball’s surface, this would display nicely. But its very existence in the world of sports collecting is significant in and of itself. LOA.
