Over his career, he won three batting titles, three World Series, a MVP, two Golden Gloves, and played in 17 All-Star Games, at a record five different positions. He started his career as the National League Rookie-of-the Year when he played second base and scored 101 runs for his hometown Cincinnati Reds in 1963. Rose is on the permanent ineligibility list for the Hall of Fame for allegedly betting on baseball, includung betting on his own team to win. Rose admitted to betting on baseball, including betting on his own team to win, in 2004.
