Pete Rose Single Signed Baseball To Bart Giamatti
The man who banned Pete Rose from baseball - commissioner Bart Giamatti - is the recipient of this official National League (Giamatti) baseball signed by the all-time hits king. It is cryptically inscribed: "To My Pal Bart Giamatti, Pete Rose" in Rose's own hand. The ball is NRMT and signed on a side panel in 8/10 blue ballpoint pen. The commissioner suffered a fatal heart attack on September 1, 1989, just eight days after banishing Rose from the game.
