Phil Cavarretta Game Used Bat
Phil Cavarretta spent all 22 of his seasons as a player in the Windy City (20 with the Cubs, two with the White Sox), then spent three more seasons managing the Cubbies. This late 1930s-early 1940s Hillerich & Bradsby is a very nice piece of equipment. Weighing 34 oz and measuring 34.5", the bat shows nice use with original tape on the handle and ball marks on the barrel. The signature, also on the barrel, is small but bold and rates 9/10. Uncracked with slight grain separation on the back of the barrel.
