Two golf tees once owned by President John F. Kennedy. One is a normal wood golf tee in white paint. The other is an incredible sterling silver tee made by Tiffany & Co and marked as such. These were owned and used by John F. Kennedy as President, during family vacations at Hammersmith Farm in Newport, Rhode Island. They came from Ms. Violet A. Gaspar, who was the family housekeeper at Hammersmith Farm. Violet was an ardent fan of the Kennedys and when she did the final tidy-up of Hammersmith Farm after each Kennedy vacation, she retained a few personal things for her own Kennedy collection, which she kept and loved all her life. Hammersmith Farm is a Victorian mansion and estate located at 225 Harrison Avenue in Newport, Rhode Island. It was the childhood home of First Lady Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy, and the site of the reception for her 1953 wedding to JFK as a U.S. Senator. During his presidency, it was referred to as the “Summer White House.”
