Presidential Jacket Given to George H.W Bush by Arnold Schwarzenegger - Outstanding Provenance

Presidential Jacket Given to George H.W Bush by Arnold Schwarzenegger - Outstanding Provenance

Offered is this unique and charming jacket given to George H.W Bush by Arnold Schwarzenegger in 1993. During his tenure as head of the President's Council on Physical Fitness & Sports, Schwazenegger had similar jackets made for each of the state governors and personally delivered each one while on tour promoting the program. It is rumored that Bush admired the varsity style jacket so much, he personally asked Schwarzenegger for one presented here. Made by SewCal Logo Company, this handsome varsity jacket has a zipper front, blue wool body with matching knit on sleeves and collar, a quilted lining and red leather sleeves and pocket trim. Size is XL and most definitely made in America. Identifying logos on the jacket include "The President's Council on Physical Fitness & Sports" official logo directly embroidered both on the left chest and full back of the jacket. The inside features a large red leather sewn in tag that is embroidered and reads, "President Bush. Special Thanks. Your Friend. Arnold Schwarzenegger." Also included is a Letter of Authenticity by Rick Songer, the owner of SewCal logo attesting to the authenticity, and that this is one of fifty-three jackets produced in this style and the one and only one produced for George Bush. Mr. Songer with his company, made costumes and jackets for the Terminator franchise, Forrest Gump, and many other productions. Accompanying the LOA is a copy of a letter George Bush wrote to Mr. Songer thanking him and an image of Schwarzenegger's check that was used to pay for this outstanding piece of Presidential memorabilia.
