P.T Barnum Hand Written and Signed Letter

P.T Barnum Hand Written and Signed Letter

This letter was written and signed by P.T. Barnum, one of the founders of the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus. It was written on Barnum's own letterhead, which is printed on the top left with "Waldemere, P.T. Barnum's Residence, Bridgeport, Conn.," and then Barnum filled in "June 19 1887" in his handwriting. Letter reads: "Mr. James L. Crowe, Dear Sir, Thanks for your letter of 16... I thought Olmstead was cracked. About half of the chaps who offer me novelties are crazy or at least "cranks." So I have to separate the wheat from the chaff. Truly Yours, PT Barnum." Letter comes with pen and ink print of Barnum.
