Quincy Trouppe 1942 Photo

Quincy Trouppe 1942 Photo

Official and definitive team-issued image of Quincy "Big Train" Trouppe, one of the most peripatetic ballplayers ever, played nonstop, summer and winter, for about 2 dozen different teams over a 23-year span -- 17 of which he was an All-Star, 7 as a player-manager. Little wonder his eyes look a bit tired in this intense 8 x 10 of him from the '42 Puerto Rican Winter League, in the uniform of Los Criollos de Guayama/Caguas (whom he played for throughout the decade and managed the '47-48 championship team). Photo EX-MT with vintage writing on back identifying the year.
