Rare 1923 Luis Angel Firpo Signed Postcard (PSA)
Rare 1923 Luis Angel Firpo signed postcard measures 3.25x5.5" and shows a photo of Firpo - sans gloves - in boxing stance. Signed in black fountain ink, including personalization and "Sincerely" inscription, along with the date of 4/20/23. The back of the card has the name and address of the person to whom the signature was personalized, but there is no evidence of mailing. Known as "The Wild Bull of the Pampas," Firpo won eight of his nine bouts in '23, with his only loss coming in a 2-round knockout at the hands of Jack Dempsey at the Polo Grounds on September 14 in a battle for the World Heavyweight Championship.
