Rare 1930s Mickey Mouse Lamp w/Original Shade - Only One Known

Rare 1930s Mickey Mouse Lamp w/Original Shade - Only One Known

Very British in execution, this looks like a folk art piece with repeating die-cut wooden three-dimensional images of Mickey Mouse with early pie-cut eyes. The lamp has three large die-cut images that are seated around the base and measure 5.5" high and six interior standing Mickeys around the shade that stand in a cut-out decor 3.5" high inside six shade sections. This is professionally manufactured and hand-painted in the familiar black, white and red, and the six-sided shade has an Andy Warholian look, although this was created when he was still a mere child. The lamp measures 14.5" high and has the original bulb, a great piece so rare, we have never seen it before. Condition is EX.
