Rare 1938 Brooklyn Dodgers "Light Bulb" Night Game #6 Ticket Stub PSA PR 1 (Pop 1 of 1 - One Graded Higher)
Rare 1938 Brooklyn Dodgers "light bulb" ticket issued for the club's sixth night game of the year at Ebbets Field on August 19th. Graded POOR 1 by PSA. This is one of only two examples of this ticket listed in the PSA Population Report. In 1938, the Brooklyn Dodgers became the second Major League team to play regular-season night games. Only a few were scheduled that season and to commemorate those historic games the team issued special tickets designed in the shape of a light bulb. The offered ticket was issued for a game against the Boston Braves in which the Dodgers prevailed 1-0 in eleven innings, with Dodgers starter Fred Frankhouse going the distance in the win. The ticket (2x3.5 inches) displays numerous moderate-to-heavy creases.
