Rare 1948-49 Kentucky Basketball Plate w/Adolph Rupp

Rare 1948-49 Kentucky Basketball Plate w/Adolph Rupp

Kentucky won its first-ever men's basketball National Championship in 1948, and in 1949 the Wildcats became just the second program to win back-to-back titles. Despite having three players drafted in the 1948 BAA Draft, the Wildcats returned their top three scorers - Alex Groza, Ralph Beard and Wah Wah Jones - who then led Kentucky in its repeat effort. From the memorable 1948-1949 season comes this scarce Kentucky basketball commemorative plate. By Steubenville ceramics and customized by Fotoware, this 10" rarity was likely given to team members or family originally and has fared quite well. No cracks or chips present but has some crazing of the clear finish; otherwise EX-MT.
