Rare 1949 Brooklyn Dodgers Presentational Ashtray
Very rare 1949 Brooklyn Dodgers presentational metal ashtray comes with gold-finish figural baseball at top. Measuring about 4.5" high and 6" in diameter, the rim of the tray is engraved "NL CHAMPS 1949 DODGERS" and shows signs of use. We're not sure who this was presented to but we have seen only one other and that's it, indicating that it was not something that was produced commercially. In addition to Dem Bums capturing the National League pennant, the '49 season saw Jackie Robinson capture MVP honors, and it was the draft year of recently-departed Dodgers legend Tommy Lasorda. Some tarnishing but overall EX.
